1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account in MyReflect, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Because MyReflect is distributed through the Google Play Store, Google Play services may automatically collect certain data as part of standard app distribution, security, and billing functionality (e.g., device information, crash and diagnostic reports, and app performance data). This collection is governed by Google Play's own data practices, in addition to this policy. We do not add our own advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs to the App.

We do not collect location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Authenticate you when you log in
• Provide core functionality of the App
• Respond to support requests sent to us

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third party to help operate the App:

Appwrite Cloud– We use Appwrite Cloud, a backend-as-a-service platform, to store and manage user account data (name, email, and associated app data). Appwrite processes this data on our behalf under its own security and privacy practices. You can review Appwrite's privacy policy at their official website for details on their data handling and infrastructure.

Google Play Services– As noted above, Google collects certain data automatically as part of app distribution and billing. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on their practices.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, and we do not permit these providers to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing services to us.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored on Appwrite Cloud's infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the App. When you do so, your data is removed from our active systems. Please note that residual copies may persist temporarily in routine backups maintained by our infrastructure provider (Appwrite Cloud) before being fully purged, consistent with standard backup retention practices.

If you are unable to delete your data in-app for any reason, you may request deletion by contacting us via email or through our contact form, using the details in Section 10 (“Contact Us”) below.

6. Children's Privacy

MyReflect is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

MyReflect is operated by a data controller based in Germany, so the GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data regardless of where you are located. Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (upon account creation) and the performance of our contract with you (providing the App's functionality). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, or with the German data protection authority responsible for our jurisdiction.

7.2 Users in California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7.3 All Users

Regardless of location, you may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in Germany. Because MyReflect is available worldwide and our infrastructure provider (Appwrite Cloud) may process data in locations outside Germany or the EEA, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required under the GDPR.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
